The Sluitingsprijs Putte-Kapellen takes place on Tuesday 17th October. The course is 183.5 kilometres long and consists of eleven local laps of 16.25 kilometres each which cross the Belgian-Dutch border on each passage over the finish line. Just like every year, the 84th edition will go through Kapellen, Putte, Stabroek, Woensdrecht and Berendrecht. This year, the organization has added a “sprinter prize”:  there will be intermediate sprints in Berenrecht, Stabroek and Putte-Kapellen where points for a sprint classification will be up for grabs. The list of previous winners of the Sluitingsprijs Putte-Kapellen includes names such as Gustaaf De Smet, Eddy Merckx or current Lotto Soudal sports director Herman Frison. In the more recent years, Jens Debusschere won the race on two occasions for Lotto Soudal, in 2013 and 2014. Lotto Soudal and Lotto NL Jumbo will be the only two WorldTour teams at the start, but the race can count on plenty of Pro Continental teams, such as Wanty-Groupe Gobert and Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij.

Line-up Lotto Soudal: Sander Armée, Kris Boeckmans, Sean De Bie, Jens Debusschere, Emiel Planckaert and Mathias Van Gompel.

Sports director: Bart Leysen
