Today the seventh and last stage of Tour de Pologne was scheduled. This stage of 132 kilometres between Bukovina Resort and Bukowina Tatrzańska contained six climbs of first category. After Monfort had crossed the top of the first climb in second place, thirteen riders escaped the peloton. The front group including Sagan, Spilak and Vakoc never got more than 2’40” lead. With 35 kilometres to go, Peter Sagan attacked with Rubén Plaza on his wheel. Plaza had to let go of the world champion uphill. At twenty kilometres from the end, Tomasz Marczynski attacked, but he was caught seven kilometres further. After an intense battle between the GC riders Sagan was reeled in. Nobody succeeded in dropping GC leader Dylan Teuns on the last climb. Wout Poels sprinted to victory. Bart De Clercq was eighteenth at 56 seconds. A few seconds later Maxime Monfort and Rafael Valls crossed the finish line. Dylan Teuns wins the GC ahead of Rafal Majka and Wout Poels. Lotto Soudal wins the team classification.
