Brent Van Moer takes silver in the men U23 world championships ITT

At the world championships in Innsbruck, Brent Van Moer has won the silver medal in the individual time trial. The Belgian Lotto Soudal U23 rider completed the 28-kilometre course in just over 33 minutes. Thanks to this superb performance, Van Moer could enjoy the “hotseat” for quite some time, but his time was eventually beaten by the Dane Mikkel Bjerg, the reigning world champion ITT in the men U23 category. He finished the course 33 faster than Van Moer. Another Dane, Mathias Norsgaard took the bronze medal. On Friday, Brent Van Moer also takes part in the men U23 road race.

Full podium in Zandberg Classic

Last Saturday, Lotto Soudal U23 has completely dominated the third edition of the Zandberg Classic in Harelbeke. Not only did Aaron Van Poucke manage to win the race, Stan Dewulf and Sander De Pestel also completed the podium. After fourteen local laps, Van Poucke crossed the finish line solo. With six kilometres remaining, he escaped an 11-man breakaway group, which featured also Stan Dewulf and Sander De Pestel. They sprinted to the second and third place for a full Lotto Soudal U23 podium.
