Caleb Ewan is a world-class Australian sprinter. He is known for his remarkable way of sprinting as he keeps a very low position on the bike. As a junior, Caleb was second in the 2012 World Championships and one year later, he finished fourth at the Worlds as an U23 rider. In his first year as a pro cyclist, he won eleven races with amongst others a stage in the Vuelta. In the meanwhile, he has already won races like Cyclassics Hamburg, a stage in the Giro of 2017 and seven stages in the Tour Down Under. After riding five years for an Australian team, Caleb signed for Lotto Soudal in 2019, immediately winning a stage in the UAE Tour and two stages in the Tour of Turkey. The 2019 Giro d’Italia meant the first Grand Tour in Lotto Soudal colours for Caleb Ewan. It was a very successful debut for Ewan as he took two impressive sprint victories, in Pesaro and Novi Ligure.
