Jelle Wallays moved from Topsport Vlaanderen-Baloise to Lotto Soudal in 2016. The rider from West-Flanders has already won some beautiful races thanks to his offensive style of racing, recently he took a wonderful victory on the 18th stage of the Vuelta 2018. In 2014 he won Paris-Tours as he beat his breakaway companion Thomas Voeckler in the sprint. One year later, he triumphed in Dwars door Vlaanderen, beating amongst others the then Polish world champion Michal Kwiatkowski. In the shirt of Lotto Soudal, Jelle Wallays won the Grand Prix Cerami 2016 and the sixth stage of the Vuelta a San Juan in 2018. The Spring Classics are among the favourite races of Wallays.
