After he rode seven years at an Australian team, Jens Keukeleire opted for a new adventure at Lotto Soudal in 2018. The rider from Bruges quickly proved to be a real asset for the Belgian WorldTour team. In 2018, he won the Baloise Belgium Tour for the second consecutive time. Keukeleire is primarily a rider who excels in the Classics, but he also possesses a powerful sprint, which helped him to victories in the Vuelta a Burgos, the Tour of Austria and the Tour of Slovenia. In the Vuelta of 2016, Keukeleire won his first Grand Tour stage as he won the sprint of a reduced bunch in Bilbao. At the age of 21 as a neo-pro, Keukeleire already won the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen, Le Samyn and Nokere Koerse. Since then, the Belgian has always been a rider to take into account during the Spring Classics.
