Lars Ytting Bak is one of the most experienced riders in the peloton. The Danish rider turned pro in 2002 and is a real allrounder who works a lot for the team. Lars often plays a crucial role during the sprint preparation as he already led the world’s best sprinters such as AndrĂ© Greipel and Mark Cavendish to victory on numerous occasions. Lars also took some fine victories himself, he won the eleventh stage of the Giro d’Italia 2012 in his first year at Lotto Belisol. During the hilly stage to Sestri Levanti, he proved to be the strongest rider of the breakaway and soloed to victory. Bak became national road champion of Denmark in 2005 and he also obtained two national time trial titles.
